Fly Tying

Materials used:

• Hook: Demmon Competition D400 BL #12, 14, 16,18,20
• Thread: Uni 8/0 Black
• Body: Uni Thread black
• Ribbing: silver wire 0.09
• Thorax: one turn of squirrel dubbing
• Wing: CDC Teal Duck -2 feathers

In some parts from Europe this fly is considered for many years a classic model. In fact this fly was developed by Marjan Fratnik, a great Slovenian fishermen and tier. The fly is in fact a general pattern,  a perfect searching fly for picky fish when we talk about rivers with gin clear water.   I strongly believe that is no European fishermen without  having this fly in his dry fly box.
