Simple and effective Pheasant tail variant

0 No tags Permalink

Nothing too fancy to say—this super simple fly, often called a Frenchie by American anglers, is a minimalist variation of the classic Pheasant Tail, tied as a stimulator. It has everything you need: a well-proportioned tail for balance, pheasant barbs in the body for that natural brown tone, and a thorax made of synthetic dubbing blended with black mylar pearl. The hot spot is tied with bright orange thread.
