Premium Squirrel Dubbing – New improved colors

Hi guys, this week I took some time to sort through and select a few batches of squirrel skins. As many of you know, here at Troutline we offer dubbing from three different squirrel species. I picked out the nicest colors and made some fresh blends. I kept the most popular mixes and made a few changes—like combining the olive shades from Grey Fox Squirrel with those from American Pine Squirrel and American Grey Squirrel. In the end, I’m happy with the results. I photographed the dubbing (you can see them below), and I think they turned out great.

Squirrel fur is unique thanks to its natural mix of spiky guard hairs and soft underfur. This blend creates a buggy, textured appearance that’s perfect for imitating insect legs and movement underwater. It’s a fantastic dubbing material for building natural-looking, slightly rough bodies.
