How to tie an effective Micro Caddis Pupa with Mojo Yarn

Here’s a fly that’s easy to tie without any hassle: the Micro Caddis Pupa tied with Mojo Yarn. Any beginner in fly tying can make it. Of course, this fly can be tied with almost any material, but Mojo Yarn is especially suitable for small patterns.

Tying tips: I highlighted the body segmentation by using nylon and twisting the yarn more tightly to get a rounder profile. Of course, this is optional — everyone can do it as they prefer. Ah, and last but not least, you can lightly brush the body to loosen some fibers from the material. These fibers will nicely imitate the insect’s fine abdominal hairs.

  • -Mojo Yarn in pale yellow for body -Ribbing: transparent nylon to highlight the segmentation of the nymph’s body.
